Who is Stretch Ibiza?

Stretch Ibiza was founded in 2015 by Leah Timmins, a certified trauma informed physical therapist, a practicing yoga instructor and ex professional dancer. Stretch Ibiza bridges the gap between her two worlds of movement and therapy. Leah has 15 years of education and hands on experience. Starting out as a professional dancer, Leah then specialised at university in Somatics (MA) which is the study of the mind and body connection. From her own story of grief she began to explore and utilise these practices to help her through her own traumatic journey. Leah continues to practice dance and yoga and often teaches, hosting workshops and retreats helping those in need of reconnecting with their bodies. Her compassionate approach combines various therapeutic modalities, offering individualised methods to reconnect you with your mind-body, helping you understand that what is in the mind is always in the body, teaching you to recognise and process unexpressed emotion and trauma.

Bodywork and Physical Therapy

Leah’s approach to physical therapy goes far beyond what most people consider a massage. With a professional background rooted in movement and holistic health, she combines a skilful integration of therapeutic bodywork, stretching, and advanced techniques such as myofascial release, craniosacral therapy, breathwork, cupping and dry needling. Each session is designed not only to ease muscular tension working with the meridian pathways but also to address the deeper layers of stored energy within the fascia. This includes releasing stress, and emotional holding patterns within the body using somatic techniques and framework.

Her practice works with the body’s innate intelligence, restoring balance to the nervous system, improving mobility, and supporting the release of long-held patterns of discomfort or restriction. The intention is to reconnect you to yourself — to lighten what feels heavy, to soften what feels tight, and to bring you into a state of greater ease and clarity.

Sessions take place in Leah’s bespoke treatment room and last around 90 minutes, including a 30-minute consultation. Each session is tailored to the individual and may draw on pressure-point stimulation, assisted stretching, and deep myofascial techniques, always with an emphasis on restoring flow through the body’s physical and energetic systems. The result is a deeply restorative and transformative experience — one that supports not only your physical wellbeing but your mental and emotional resilience too. Stretching, Movement and Somatic Yoga classes

Somatic yoga is a practice that invites a deepening of the body–mind connection, cultivating self-awareness through movement, presence, and embodied enquiry. Rooted in the Greek word soma — meaning the body as experienced from within — this approach moves beyond performance or posture. Instead, it encourages students to listen, soften, and respond to the body’s subtle intelligence, recognising how sensations, emotions, and thoughts are deeply interconnected.

With a strong foundation in Ashtanga and a further training in Hatha and Yin, Leah brings over twenty years of professional experience in dance and movement into her teaching. Her classes weave together asana, stretching, somatic practices, and mindfulness to create sessions that are both grounding and transformative. Whether supporting stress release, easing physical tension, or guiding students towards deeper self-regulation, somatic yoga with Leah offers a space to return to balance and reconnect with the body’s innate wisdom.

Based in Ibiza, Leah offers drop-in classes, workshops, and private sessions tailored to individual needs. Each practice is designed to meet students where they are, offering tools to support well-being, resilience, and a deeper sense of presence.

Breathwork and Hypnosis

Breathwork is a powerful way of accessing the body’s innate wisdom. The body holds everything we’ve lived through — stress, emotion, and experience are imprinted in the nervous system and fascia. Through guided breathwork, these layers begin to release. The breath becomes both anchor and catalyst, creating space to feel, process, and let go without the need for words. It is a way of clearing what the body has held onto, bringing a deep sense of regulation, presence, and relief.

Hypnosis, by contrast, works directly with the mind — gently guiding it into a state of focused awareness where old patterns, narratives, and self-limiting beliefs can be safely re-examined and re-wired. In this state of openness, the subconscious can embrace new possibilities, new choices, and new ways of being.

When breathwork and hypnosis are combined, they form a unique therapeutic synergy. The breath clears the body of what it has carried; hypnosis rewrites the mind’s narrative. Together they release the past, regulate the present, and reframe the future. This marriage of body and mind creates the conditions for lasting transformation — helping clients move beyond stress, burnout, and old wounds into clarity, empowerment, and inner calm.

These sessions are particularly supportive if you are feeling stuck, processing grief, navigating a transition, or seeking to release what no longer serves you. They are equally valuable if you’re simply longing for deeper clarity, rest, or reconnection with yourself.

Sound Therapy

Sound is one of the most ancient and intuitive forms of healing. Long before words, in the womb there was vibration — a heartbeat, a language that speaks directly to the body, bypassing the thinking mind and touching the deeper layers of our being. In a sound therapy session, we work with frequency and resonance to guide the body, mind, and emotions back into a state of balance and harmony.

Each journey with Leah is unique, created with immersive soundscapes that invite deep rest, recalibrating the nervous system, and easing the weight of stored tension and emotional stress. These vibrations ripple through the body like waves, softening what feels tight, shifting energy that has become stuck, and opening space for greater clarity and flow.

Crystal bowl sound healing is a form of vibrational medicine, not only soothing the system but awakening the possibility of transformation. In Person

Somatic Physical Therapy sessions take place in person, one-on-one in Leah's treatment room; a bespoke calming, comfortable and private space. 

Breathwork & Hypnosis sessions are also available from the treatment room for one-on-one sessions or private groups of 2 people. Larger private sessions of up to 15 people are available from the comfort of your own villa or garden. We also have access to some beautiful bespoke spaces in Ibiza available to hire for larger groups. 

Yoga & Movement Private sessions are available for individuals or groups of up to 15, with all equipment included. While classes can be held in the treatment space, Leah recommends stepping outside whenever possible — the island offers countless beautiful settings to practise in, from easily reached spots to more hidden, adventurous landscapes.Each session is tailored to meet the needs of those attending. Beyond physical therapy, the wider Stretch Ibiza somatic programme is available wherever you are in the world. One-to-one or small group sessions in yoga, somatic movement, breathwork, and hypnosis can be guided online via Zoom or Microsoft Teams, bringing the benefits of these practices directly into your own space. Alongside individual sessions, Leah also offers extended, personalised programmes designed to explore how Somatics can support long-term wellbeing and transformation.
